Norma Rofe's Obituary
Norma J. Rofe (nee Diederich), age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria.
She was born in Elyria and was a life long resident of North Ridgeville.
Norma was the co-owner and operator, along with her late husband James, of the Western Reserve Plant Farm in North Ridgeville. She later worked in the cafeteria at Brush Elementary School in Grafton, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville where she was active in the Mother's Club. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Loyal Order of the Moose, Elyria. She was also involved with the North Ridgeville Senior Center and enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards and watching her grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include her son, James Rofe (Lisa) of North Ridgeville; daughter, Bonnie (Jon) Vincenzo of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Zachary and Austin Rofe, Nicholas and Brandon Vincenzo; brothers, Richard and Raymond (Lorraine) Diederich both of North Ridgeville; sisters, Rita (Ervin) Pullen of Elyria,. Carol Diederich of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Paula (David) Pierce of North Ridgeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1988; brother, Alan Diederich in 2005; parents, Walter and Josephine Diederich.
Friends may call Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where prayer services will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM. A 10:00 AM mass will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Doug Koesel, Associate Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
