Noel Turner's Obituary
Noel L. Turner, age 86, of Warren, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Humility House, Austintown, following a long illness.
He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and was a resident of Warren for 6 years moving from Spring Hill, Florida. He also lived in Indianapolis and North Ridgeville where he resided from 1945-1971.
Noel served in the US Navy during WWII.
He worked for General Motors as a general Forman at the Indianapolis Operations Center and many other plants.
He was a member of 1st Christian Church of Spring Hill.
He enjoyed woodworking and caring for his elderly neighbors in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Robert (Ruby) of Lordstown, Noel (Lee) of Elyria, Larry (Sheila) of North Ridgeville; daughters, Carol (David) Painter of Elyria, Peggy (Darrell) Oskins of LaGrange, Liane Shields of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, "Dottie" Turner of Grant's Pass, Oregon, Kitty Alexenko of Roseburg, Oregon, Jan Clayton of Ridgefield, Washington; brothers, Charles Turner of Milford, Pennsylvania, Richard Turner of Ventura, California.
He was preceded in death by brothers Erwin and Victor; sisters, Faith Frye and Joyce Cobel and parents, Melville and Mavis Turner.
Friends may call Friday from 6-9PM at the David Bogner Family funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Fred Schrock and Pastor Bob Gleason will co-officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
