Nichole Michelle Jackson's Obituary
Nichole Michelle Jackson, 46, died tragically on January 13th, 2026, in Skowhegan, Maine. Born on February 13, 1979, she was the beloved daughter of Michelle Stambaugh (née Coon) and the late Keith McGarvey.
Nichole grew up in North Ridgeville, Ohio, and graduated from North Ridgeville High School in 1997. In 2003, she married Steven Jackson (later divorced) and made her home in Elyria, where she lived for over two decades.
A devoted mother, Nichole found joy in cooking and spending time with her family. In recent years, she discovered a love for hiking and sightseeing, with dreams of traveling and exploring the world.
Nichole dedicated her life to caring for others as a licensed practical nurse. She served with compassion and skill at Sandy River Nursing Home, UH Hospitals, and Transitional Living Center, and most recently worked as a traveling nurse in Maine. Her passion for nursing and helping others touched countless lives.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Katelynn (Anthony) Sanchez and Kelsey Jackson; her loving mother and step father Michelle and Joseph Stambaugh, her brothers, Jason (Sandra) McGarvey of Indiana and Justin (Shellie) McGarvey of Hawaii; her uncles, Michael Coon (Julie, deceased), Ralph (Pat) Stambaugh, and James Jr. (deceased) (Kelly) Stambaugh; her nephew, Xavier; and her cousins, Michael, Jennifer, Shannon, A.J., Jake, and Stacey.
Nichole was preceded in death by her father, Keith McGarvey; her grandparents, Jacob and Alyce Coon, Claire and Charles Zumback, and James and Helen Stambaugh.
Nichole will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and profession. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
There will be a visitation on Friday, January 30th, 2026 from 10am until the time of service at 11am at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road. North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Father Bob Franco will officiate. Internment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
