Nicholas G. Penick II's Obituary
Nicholas G. Penick II, age 74, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home.
Born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania, he lived most of his life in North Ridgeville before moving to Vermilion and then to Sheffield Lake.
Nicholas served in the National Guard.
He worked as an aircraft mechanic for United Airlines from 1967-2001. He also owned and operated Nick’s Painting and Home Improvement and Related Construction.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua, American Legion and the Elks Club in Elyria.
He enjoyed fishing with friends in Canada and loved his work.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane (nee McDermott), daughter, Roseann (Robert) Warth of Amherst, son, Nick of Sheffield Lake, grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenna and Chase, sister, Kathy (Don) Peters of Burr Ridge, Illinois, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Anne Penick and sister, Georgine Tweardy.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1PM on Friday at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Joe Robinson will be the celebrant. Please meet at church. Due to Covid-19, wearing of masks and social distancing will be required. Service will be live streamed on St. Peter Church North Ridgeville Facebook page.
Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
