Nellie Jean Wendell's Obituary
Nellie Jean Wendell (nee Eynon), age 97, of North Ridgeville, passed away at the St. John Medical Center in Westlake, on Sunday, January 1, 2023 following a brief illness.
She was born on March 31, 1925 in Cambridge, Ohio and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 24 years, moving from North Olmsted and Indiana. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Parma, serving on the Altar Guild. In her free time, Nellie Jean enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, bowling and playing Euchre. The summer months would find her in her garden or taking long walks, which she loved to do.
She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Joseph) Conrad and Elaine (Ray) Feruski; son David (Bonnie) Wendell; grandchildren Jonathan (Mara), Bobbie and Holly; brother Harry Eynon; many nieces and nephews.
Nellie Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Robert “Bob” Wendell; parents Percy and Florence (nee Ogle) Eynon; brothers Fred, Ralph, John and George Eynon; sister Helen Shepherd.
Family will receive friends and share memories of Nellie Jean in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
Interment will be private.
