Nellie L. Hawkins' Obituary
Nellie L. Hawkins (nee Thomas), age 87, of Grafton, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Westlake.
She was born in Blountsville, Alabama and had been a resident of Grafton since 1989. She previously lived in Cleveland and Brookpark.
Nellie worked as a final inspector for Ford Motor Company in Brookpark for 30 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elyria and United Auto Workers Local 1250.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky Bradford of Madison, Alabama, son, Ricky (Robbyn) Hawkins of North Ridgeville, grandchildren, Shawn (Joe) Hageman, Amber Bradford, Samuel Hawkins, Dana (Junior) Grellinger, Danielle Hawkins, great-grandchildren, Robyn, Brittney, Brynlee, Carter, Zach, Dylan, Owin, and brother Ray (Kathryn) Thomas of Locus Fork, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cletis Bradford, former husband, James Hawkins, son, David Hawkins, sisters, Norma Faye Bradford, infant Hermasue Thomas, Callie Chamblee, Sara Ann Cason, brothers, baby boy Thomas, Samuel Van Thomas and Edward Simon Thomas, James Felton Thomas, parents, Webster and Olma Thomas.
Friends may call Thursday from 4PM until the time of services at 6PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Pastor Bob Bjelica will officiate.
The burial will be at Hanceville, Alabama.
