Nancy Melhinch's Obituary
Nancy K. Melhinch (nee Kimble), age 51, of Elyria, died Monday evening at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph Residential Center in Lorain following a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Webster Springs, West Virginia. She had resided in Elyria the past 25 years moving from North Ridgeville.
She had worked at Invacare in Elyria for 15 years until becoming ill in 2002.
Mrs. Melhinch was a member of Abundant Life Church in Elyria and a former member of Midway Baptist Church, Elyria.
She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, working with her computer and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Albert, one son, Jerry Counts of Elyria, three step daughters, Lisa Melhinch, Christy Bartolotta, and Tracy Melhinch, all of Elyria, four grandchildren, two sisters, Jean Murphy of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Marie Long of Vermilion, five brothers, George Kimble of North Ridgeville, Alfred Kimble of Elyria, Billy Jo Kimble of Webster Springs, WV, David Kimble of Columbus and Luther Kimble of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne L. Kimble in 1997, her mother, Lena Kimble in 1987, one sister, Bobbie Ann Markle and one brother, Jimmy D. Kimble.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Reverend Jerry Harper, Pastor of Abundant Life Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
