Mona "Jean" I Comerford's Obituary
Mona Imogene “Jean” Comerford (nee Conley), age 77, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1943, in Jamestown, Ohio. She wed James on August 19, 1961, in London, Ohio and started traveling the country. By the late sixties, they returned to North Ridgeville, Ohio and established their current homestead.
A devoted wife and mother, Jean dedicated her life to raising her family and unselfishly giving her time and talents to those around her. Jean loved feeding her family and friends with her legendary cooking, and no one ever left hungry. She was a talented, self-taught seamstress. Her labors of love included everything from christening gowns, home and auto upholstery, to wedding decor, halloween costumes, and clothing. She could accomplish any project set before her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James; children James (Zenaida) Comerford of Mansfield, Maureen (Carl) Lee of Amherst, William (Beth) Comerford of Galion, Colleen (Travis) Franke of Avon; her 12 beloved grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister Linda (Bobby) Deland of Garland, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son Timothy; parents Ellis and Alice (nee Hopkins) Conley; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Respecting social distancing, friends may call Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 2-6 P.M. at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held Monday, June 8, 2020 at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. at St. Peter’s Church. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
