Mildred Imler's Obituary
Mildred L. "Millie" Imler (nee Adams), age 95, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday at the North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville following a long illness.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 41 years moving from Lakewood.
Mrs. Imler worked as a maintenance supervisor for the North Ridgeville Police Department for 20 years retiring in 2002. .
She was a member of Fields United Methodist Church, North Ridgeville, where she sang in the choir and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9871 Ladies Auxiliary, North Ridgeville where she served as Chaplin for 5 years and Conductress for 8 years.
She sang in the Lorain County Banjo Band for several years and the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed attending social functions of which were never complete until she sang "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey".
Survivors include nephew James Schneider of Avon; 2nd cousin Jackie Wanclovic of Cuyahoga Falls; dear friends and care givers Carole Dias and Gloria Schultz both of North Ridgeville and Faye Rose of Westlake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brother Frank Adams and her parents Frank and May Adams (nee Ryba).
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9Pm at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be hled 12 noon Wednesday in the funeral home. Reverend Neriah G. Edwards, Pastor of Fields United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery.
