Mildred J. "Millie" Demyan's Obituary
Mildred “Millie” J. Demyan (nee McVeigh), age 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home.
She was born in North Ridgeville, where she remained a lifelong resident.
Millie worked in the billing department for North Ridgeville Utilities Department for 13 years, retiring in 1987. She previously had worked at Ridgeville Animal Hospital in North Ridgeville for Dr. Laufman for many years.
She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in North Ridgeville.
She enjoyed sewing, camping and spending the winter season in Florida.
Survivors include her daughters, Jean (Dan) Lachman of Elyria, Joan (Tom) Strickler of Wellington, Judith Hoffstetter of North Ridgeville; 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brothers, George, Wilbur, Robert and Russell McVeigh; parents, Alvah and Jean (nee Hogg) McVeigh and son-in-law, Walter “Skip” Hoffstetter.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Arik Borstad will officiate. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
