Mike A. Minichiello's Obituary
Mike A. Minichiello, age 99 of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Danbury in North Ridgeville. He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1957, formerly of Cleveland. He was a World War II Veteran, US Air Force 466th Bombardment Group stationed at Attlebridge in England. He was a waist gunner on the B-24 Liberator. Returning from World War II, he spent his career working for NASA as a draftsman retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Peter Church, United Polish Club, and VFW Post 1079 in Elyria. Mike and his wife Rose loved Polka dance, which they did into their 80’s. His other interests included gardening, golfing (hole-in-one), and other sports. He enjoyed his numerous pet companions over the years. He is survived by his daughter Peggy Stambaugh (Jim) of FL; son Kenneth (Bev) Minichello of Parma; granddaughters Karrie and Amanda; great-grandchildren Bradley, Zachary, Lorelei, and Joshua. Mike was preceded in death by his wife Rose whom he married on Valentines Day in February 1953; parents Anthony and Carmella Minichiello; brothers Sam, Al, John and sister Elvera. Visitation Saturday from 8:30 am until the time of prayer service at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Peter Church at 10:00 am with burial at St. Peter Cemetery with full military honors. Rev Bob Franco will officiate.
