Mike Fairchild's Obituary
Mike Fairchild, age 55, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Lorain and had been a resident of Elyria for most of his life. He previously lived in Lakewood and Newburgh Heights.
Mike worked as a Chemical Engineer for Reilly Tar and Chemical Corporation and various other chemical firms.
He enjoyed playing baseball in his youth, was an avid Cleveland sports fan, especially the Indians, playing competitive trivia, listening to Classic Rock and Jimmy Buffet’s music and was a connoisseur of craft beers.
Mike was a very giving person and always went out of his way to help others.
Survivors include his parents, Dick and Carol of Elyria; sister, Janet (Erik) Burnett of Elyria; nephews, Mick and Nate Burnett; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve on March 23, 1985.
Services will be private.
