Michele A. Chicoine's Obituary
Michele A. Chicoine (nee Bauquis), age 69, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Ames Family Hospice after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Chambery, France on July 16, 1947, and lived in Chicago before moving to Elyria, where she has lived for the past 31 years, and has worked as a waitress at the Elyria Country Club for much of that time.
Michele loved walking and being out in nature. She was passionate about animals, especially her beloved dog Blue, and donated often to the humane society and APL’s. Michele, bringing a custom of her home country of France with her, would enjoy one glass of wine each evening. Her greatest joy though, was spending time with her close-knit family.
She is survived by her daughter Lauren (Jeremy) Vidmar of Grafton; son Chris (Barbara) Vullien of Amherst; grandchildren Tony, Ally, Robyn and Brie; great grandchildren C.J. and Avin; sister Annie Bauquis of France; niece Virgine Thiebaut and nephew Olivier Thiebaut, both of France.
Michele was preceded in death by her husband Jeannot Chicoine; grandson Corey Young; parents Raymond and Denise (nee Lambing) Bauquis; sister Francoise Thiebaut.
The family suggests donations be made in Michele’s name to the Lorain County APL, the Friendship APL or the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Private services were held.
