Michael E. Yanak Jr.'s Obituary
Michael E. Yanak Jr., age 77, of North Olmsted passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake.
He was born in Cleveland and has been a resident of North Olmsted since 1980, moving from Parma.
Michael served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era.
He worked in machine repair for Bam-Cor in Cleveland, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed working in the yard and garden, was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed vacationing in the Outer Banks with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Fran (nee Constant), daughters, Julie Radzilowski of North Ridgeville, Ann Yanak of Colorado Springs, CO, Valery Yanak of Lakewood, Marybeth (Chad MacMath) Yanak of Houston, TX, Rebecca Yanak of North Olmsted; sons, Michael III (Kris Hollerud) Of Las Vegas, NV, Dan (Holly) Yanak of Avon, Vince (Vanessa) Yanak of North Ridgeville; 11 Grandcildren, sister, Carol Daffner of North Royalton; brother, Andrew Yanak of Parma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anna (nee Perko) Yanak; sister, Rita Yanak, and son-in-law, Ted Radzilowski.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 5pm to 8pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:15 am Thursday, followed by 10am Mass at St. Clarence Church, 30106 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Rev. Neil Kookoothe, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be conducted by VFW post 9871 and US Marines.
