Michael Motyka's Obituary
Michael D. Motyka, age 52, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009, at North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a short illness.
Born in Lakewood, he was a resident of North Ridgeville since 1988 moving from Grafton. He previously lived in Chautauqua, New York.
Michael worked as a carpenter for Kopf Construction in Avon and Fortney and Weygandt Inc. in North Olmsted, for many years.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and was a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 140 for the past nine years at Fields United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Karen (Nee Nash); sons, Jack and Dan Motyka both of North Ridgeville, Kenny Klatt of North Olmsted; daughter, Kerri Klatt of North Ridgeville; stepson, Jon Marc Towers of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren; sisters, Susan Yambor of Middleburg Hts., Kathy (Jon) Sorkin of Chicago, IL.; brothers, Tim Motyka of Baltimore, MD and Tony Motyka of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eleanor Motyka.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 15, 2009, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville. A light luncheon will follow in the church community room.
David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville handled the arrangements.
