Michael Paul Hurley's Obituary
Michael Paul Hurley, age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2025 at The Renaissance Retirement Campus in Olmsted Township. He was born in Euclid to June (nee Newell) and Thomas Hurley. Michael was a resident of Olmsted Township for the past 2 years, after moving from North Ridgeville where he resided since 1978. Michael was a general manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken for 35 years, before retiring in 2009. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the casino, watching the Indians, and spending time with his grandkids.
The family of Michael would like to give special thanks to the staff at The Renaissance Retirement Campus in Olmsted Township for taking such good care of him over the last few years of his life.
He is survived by his son Jim (Lindsay) Hurley, daughter Tracey (Mark) Palmer, grandchildren Morgan, Nick, Thomas “TJ”, and Tristen, siblings Monica Hurley, Cindy (Mike) Larner, Mary (John) Nemanic, and Amy Stander, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife Pennie and parents June (nee Newell) and Thomas Hurley.
There will be a celebration of Michael’s life on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Bogner Life Celebration Center at 7295 Greenlawn Dr., North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Service will begin at 2pm and a fellowship will follow. Rev. Mikayla Doepker will officiate.
