To my Dad -
Looking back our childhood was filled with fun and laughter and mostly all three kids driving you mad! My youngest memory of us together would be you laying on the ground and me using you as a jungle gym. I believe the term “tickle torture” come from you! Countless mornings you would wake us up for school in such a good mood making up random funny songs to annoy/ motivate us to get ready. Pretty sure this would make us extremely late, but you never cared as long as we were all laughing and carrying on. As I got older, we use to have our Saturday morning routines. You would pick me up after gymnastics and you would treat me to breakfast, usually at Friendly’s or Hazel’s. Endless summers in the pool. Football! If someone wasn’t coaching or playing, we were talking about football in our house. Per usual I wanted nothing to do with this activity but with time I would always find myself watching and catching up on games so I would have something to contribute during family conversations. We would mostly reminisce about how the Browns took a “L” for the hundredth time and we would laugh and always hope for next year.
Recently you were very excited to plan your future after retirement. You were looking forward to meeting your new grandson, Koa! We had endless convos about what sport he’d play, and you were very optimistic of his future since he had the “Houser” genes.
I’m extremely grateful for all our talks, I love you texts and the endless voicemails I have saved of you jokingly trying to schedule an appointment with me! I’m sad because you had so much life left to live but I know you are forever with me and our family. Send my love to Grandpa, Grandma and Kyle. I love you endlessly!
Your Daughter,
Jessy
