Michael J. Baumbick's Obituary
Michael J. Baumbick, age 54, of North Ridgeville, loving husband, best friend, father, grandfather, son and brother, lost his courageous fight and battle to cancer on September 2, 2016. His love and beautiful outlook on life will be cherished and missed by all who loved him. His inspiration and faith in God will live on forever in our hearts and spirit.
He was born on October 20, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville. He worked as a beer distributor for Maple City Ice, retiring in 2015.
Michael enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and the summer months would find him tending to his garden and acting as the “Master Griller” at home. He was a true family man, who found no greater joy than spending time with his family at home, especially his grandson, and looked forward to his second grandson who is due September 24.
He is survived by his wife Darla (nee Durisek); sons Mike (Brandi Cummings) and Nick Baumbick; daughter Andrea Baumbick; stepdaughters Jenna and Jessica Houser; stepson Joshua Houser; grandson Noah; mother Barbara (nee Black) Baumbick; mother and father in law Betty and Paul Durisek; siblings Robert (Debra) Baumbick, Mary (Rich) Van Ness, Mark (Melissa) Baumbick and John (Carri) Baumbick.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Robert Baumbick in 2002.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Monday from 12:00-4:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for a 9:30 a.m. prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
