Michael R. Balogh's Obituary
Michael R. Balogh, age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville and North Olmsted for most of his life.
He was a proud US Navy Veteran serving from 1962-1966.
Michael worked as a supervisor for General Electric at the Euclid Lamp Plant for over 30 years, retiring in 1997.
He was a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed racing Mustangs at Dragway 42 in West Salem and loved being a father and grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He also loved to travel, selling his home in 2002 to take to the open road.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa (Bob) Paulin of Rocky River, Christine (John) Navicky of Medina; son, Steven of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Brittany, Andrew and Hannah Paulin, Michael and Johnathon Balogh, Nicole, Samantha and Johnny Navicky; former spouse of 27 years, Judy (nee Spencer) Balogh of Elyria; sister, Patricia Ferrari of Westfield, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn (nee Long) Balogh; brother, Joseph Balogh; sisters, Maureen Balogh, Evelyn Klanac and Karen Ennis.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where there will be a prayer service on Saturday at 12:30PM followed by a 1PM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Andrew Hoover will be the celebrant.
Internment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 12:30 PM on Wednesday July 26, 2017.
