Melvin Manning's Obituary
Melvin E. Manning, age 57, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Elyria and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 28 years. He previously had lived in Euclid, Sheffield Lake and Lorain.
Mr. Manning served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as an Internal Revenue Agent for the past 30 years.
He was president of the National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 37 of the Northern Ohio area.
He enjoyed coaching North Ridgeville City Little League Baseball, camping and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Laura (nee Buchanan); daughter, Jocelyn Dudek of Elyria; son, Keith of North Ridgeville; one grandson; brother, Dean of Hamilton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parent, Melvin and Evalyn Manning and his brother, Jeffrey Manning in February 2004.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM in the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
