Melda Allene Polly's Obituary
Melda Allene Polly (nee Adams), age 83, of Lorain, passed away on July 10, 2015 at the University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 27, 1931 in Whitesburg, Kentucky and has been a lifelong resident of Sheffield Township.
Melda was a loving wife, homemaker and caring mother who loved in her free time to quilt, sew, cook for her family and work in her garden. Her happiest times were spent taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children Debra (Keith) Polly-Stawicki of Elyria, Daniel Polly of Lorain, Theresa Polly of Lorain and Mitchell (Bonnie) Polly of LaGrange; grandchildren Rachel (Roger) Caudill, Mitch C. (Jessica) Polly, Carlie (Larry) Weiss, Chad (Christi) Polly, Jennifer (Phil) Sen, Nick Niskey, Jon Arndt and Andrew Arndt;
great grandchildren Ashlee Lewis, Isabella Weiss, Vance Weiss, Owen Polly, Olissa Polly, Nevaeh Polly, Hayden Sen, Coralline Arndt, Jillian Polly, Kylee and Dylan Weiss, Ben Davisson and Silas Polly; sister Jackie Fields; many nieces and nephews.
Melda was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, DV Polly in 2011; grandson Seth Polly; parents William and Emma (nee Belcher) Adams; sisters Louella Wampler and Ella Mae Budd; brothers George and Joseph Adams.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Monday 5-8 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Edward Kennedy will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
