Maxine C. Pasternak's Obituary
Maxine C. Pasternak, age 77 of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for more than fifty years.
Maxine was a librarian for Porter Public Library in Westlake for 30 years, retiring in 2013.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
Maxine was an avid reader who could often be found with a book in her hand, and also enjoyed going to craft shows.
Survivors include her sons, Bruce (Lisa) Pasternak of Elyria, Tom (Jean) Pasternak of Chapin, South Carolina; daughter, Lorie Elliott of Kansas City, Missouri; granddaughter, Melanie Dooley(Christopher); great-grandchildren, Connor and Cory; sisters, Delphine Janusek and Donna (Tony) Pedaci.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1988; parents Frank and Tillie Janusek and brother, Gerald Janusek.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, TUESDAY FROM 10:00-11:00 A.M. where an 11:00 a.m. prayer service will preceed an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family requests donations be made in Maxine's name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Claire Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110.
