Matthew Schneider's Obituary
Matthew John Schneider was a nature and bird lover, a talented photographer and a devoted uncle. He passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2011 at home with his loving parents. Matt was born on February 19, 1980 in Elyria.
He lived with muscular dystrophy, but refused to let the disease define his life. He was a talented artist and graduated from Elyria High School in 1999. He studied Information Technology at Lorain County Community College. Matt was always eager to learn the latest computer technology. He was a member of the Lorain County Computer Users group. Traveling and photography were two of his passions and he always managed to awe family and friends with incredible photos of nature from his travels, including yearly trips to Florida and cruising the Caribbean.
Matt enjoyed being surrounded by his nephews and nieces who brought him great joy. Many of his photos captured the love and laughter that his family shared with him.
Matthew’s life was a true example of strength and perseverance and an endless desire to live life to its fullest, regardless of the circumstances. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and an inspiration to all who knew him.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Robert and Jo Anna Schneider; sister, Julie (Joe) Flinner of North Ridgeville; brother, Bobby (Rebecca) Schneider of Chardon; nephews and nieces Nicholas, Jacob, Ella, Noah, Finnias, and Juniper; uncle, John (Jacque) Jarve of Atherton, CA; aunt, Susan (Art) Limann of Martins Ferry; and cousins, Christine, Joy Kenny, Gloria, Will and Katie.
Matt, your camera captured many a bird and countless smiles, but your life captured our hearts the most. We love you and will miss you. May you be at peace.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville and Friday from 10:30 AM until time of services at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church 9685 E. River Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Rev. Henry Baum, Pastor, will officiate.
