Mathilda M. "Tillie" Collart's Obituary
Mathilda M. “Tillie” Collart (nee Walters), age 99, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake. She was born on January 4, 1926, in Euclid, Ohio and has been a resident of North Olmsted for the past 68 years. Tillie worked as the manager of the middle school cafeteria in the North Olmsted City Schools, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Brendan Church in North Olmsted. After retirement, Tillie and Norm enjoyed bowling at Buckeye Lanes and led a quiet life. Norm played the piano and accordion and they liked polka music. She is survived by her sons N. Scott (Leigh) Collart and Michael (Laura) Collart; granddaughter Christina (Kevin) Noble; many nieces and nephews. Tillie was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Norman Collart; parents Frances (nee Zupancic) and Dominic Walters; siblings Henry “Hank” Walters, Teresa Disantis and Dolores Snyder. Funeral Mass Wednesday, August 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brendan Parish, 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070, where family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Rev. Paul Wirsiy will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
