Mary Ann Silagy's Obituary
Mary Ann Silagy (nee Rahon), age 87, of Medina, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Medina Hospital.
She was born on August 1, 1935 in Cleveland and has been a resident of Medina for the past 4 ½ years, moving from North Ridgeville.
Mary Ann loved to sew, doing cross stitch and bowling. She also enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. Quieter times found her just sitting and looking out over the lake, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Ann (Dennis Anderson) of Columbus, Sue Ann Silagy of Medina, Sandy (Mike) Woodson of North Ridgeville, Judy (Steve) Zaborszki of Northfield Center and Laura Bucci of Grafton; grandchildren Becca (Tom), Shawn (Jessika), Bradley, Brian, Jason, Julia, Brittany and Austin; great grandchild Lola; brother John (Anita) Rahon of FL; many nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Bob Silagy; parents John and Mary (nee Billick) Rahon.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday for a 9:30 a.m. prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. Isidore Munishi will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Westlake.
