Mary Mikulic's Obituary
Mary Ann Mikulic, 68, of Avon, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Avon following a long illness.
Mary Ann was born in Cleveland on April 14, 1939. She was the daughter of the late John Z. And Mary (Ruzich) Mikulic. She was raised in Avon and Cleveland and later lived in Rocky River and Euclid. She made her home in Avon for the last 20 years.
She graduated from John Adams High School with Honors and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics, with Honors, from Ohio University and completed her post graduate studies at Ohio State University. She was a proud member of the Ohio University Alumni. She taught in the Cleveland Public Schools and Lakewood Public Schools. She retired from Medical Mutual in Cleveland. During her retirement, she enjoyed working at special events at Lorain County Community College.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Avon.
Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending music events at Severance Hall and Blossom. She also enjoyed traveling extensively, attending museum events, gardening and raising her poodle, Angel.
Survivors include her brother, John Mikulic of Avon; an uncle, several aunts, many cousins and friends.
Friends may call Friday from 3-5 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where prayers will be Saturday at 9:30AM followed by a 10:00AM mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon. Rev. Thomas Cleaton, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44120 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 424 Middle Ave., Elyria, Ohio 44035.
