Mary McConnon's Obituary
Mary Jane McConnon (nee Ruddy), age 79, of Rocky River, died Sunday at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland following a sudden illness.
She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was a resident of Rocky River for the past 4 years moving from Las Vegas, Nevada. She previously lived in Avon and North Olmsted and Rocky River.
She was a former member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Rocky River.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years Raymond James; 4 sons Michael of Washington D.C., Raymond of North Ridgeville, Patrick of North Ridgeville, Tony of California; daughter Kathy Samokhvalor of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Peggy Sciartino of Fort Walton Florida, JoAnn Anderson of St. Petersburg, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents John "Cotton" Ruddy and Margaret Anderson and sister Nancy Delfino.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where prayer services will be held on Friday at 9:30AM. A 10:00AM Mass will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Reverend Joseph Spolny, Interim Associate Pastor will be the celebrant. Private burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
