Mary Machovina's Obituary
Mary M. Machovina, (nee Mozak) 69 of Elyria, died Thursday October 27, 2005 at her residence following a long illness.
She was born October 11, 1936 in Lorain where she lived until moving to Elyria in 1956.
She worked for twenty-two years as a service representative for Alltel phone company retiring in 1999.
Mrs. Machovina was a member of St. Mary's Church of Elyria and belonged to the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the Independent Telephone Pioneer Association. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.
Surviving are three sons, Eugene Jr. of Columbus, Frank of Elyria, and Philip of Elyria; six daughters, Ann Loepp of Elryia, Christine Hartle of Amherst, Marie Storrow of Wellington, Pauline Phillips of Wellington, Patricia Nickolette of Elyria, and Irene Streets of Elyria; twenty-one grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Sabo of Elyria, and her twin sister Margaret Strzelecki of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Eugene J. Sr. in March of this year; her parents, Paul and Anna Mozak (nee Pachan); her brother, Paul Mozak; and two sisters, Helen Timko and Irene Waraksa.
Friends will be received Sunday October 30 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where prayers will be said at 9:30AM Monday.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria with Father Patrick Shields officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Elyria .
