Mary A. "Arlene" Lankey's Obituary
Mary A. “Arlene” Lankey (nee Geary), age 87, of Elyria, passed away at her home on Monday, October 28, 2024.
She was born on August 11, 1937, in Connellsville, PA and has been a resident of Elyria since 1955. She worked for many years servicing vending machines for Automatic Vendors. Arlene was a member of the Eagle’s Club in Elyria and enjoyed bowling and golf in her free time.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Becky) Lankey of Elyria, Michael (Kathy Johnson) Lankey of Elyria; daughter, Pamela (Stephen Dora) Akers of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; siblings Wayne (Ellen) Geary, Blaine Geary, Beryl (Doris) Geary, Patty Pritts, Ardis Savage, Lynn Nicholson and Debbie Disher, all of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Arthur R. “Bob” Lankey; daughter-in-law, Cindy Lankey, son-in-law, Michael Akers and grandson Geoffrey Lankey; parents Russell and Violet (nee Laymon) Geary; brothers Thomas Geary, Bill Geary; sisters Nancy Sikon and Jackie Gallentine; sister-in-law Jeannie Geary; brother-in-law Glenn Pritts.
Funeral service Friday at 12:30 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville where family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Danny Parsons will officiate. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
