Mary Elizabeth Hickman's Obituary
Mary E. Hickman (nee Miller), age 76, of Elyria, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 13, 2017 at UH Hospitals of Cleveland after a short illness.
She was born in Hazard, Kentucky and had been a resident of Elyria since 1962.
Mary loved her God and was a member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching old movies and being in the company of family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry; daughters, Penny Goff (Glen) of Sullivan, Yvonna Criss (Michael) of Elyria, Amy Shreve Vealey (Steve) of Mansfield; sons, John R. of Waynesfield, James D. (Amy) of Elyria; grandchildren, Marshall, Jennifer, Jeremy, Andrew, Anthony, Danielle, John, Adam, Cory, Kaley, and JT; 14 great-grandchildren and two identical twin girls on the way; sister, Emmazell Grigsby of Hazard, Kentucky; brother, Jackie Miller of Vevay, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Sylvania (nee Hudson) Miller; brothers, George B. Grigsby, Asberry Grigsby, Jr., Herman Gabe Risner, James Miller; and sister, Eliza Jane Ritchie.
Friends may call at Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, 36600 Sugar Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Saturday, January 21for a Memorial Visitation and Service at 1 PM. Pastor Mike Matovich and Pastor Glen Goff, will officiate.
