Mary Gehm's Obituary
Mary Agnes Gehm, age 94, of Grafton, died Saturday at Center Ridge Nursing Home, North Ridgeville, following a lenghty illness.
She was born in McKeesport, PA to Agnes Krepa Cobert and James Cobert.. She graduated from McKeesport High School where she was the class secretary.
She was married in 1928 to Louis Gehm in St. Peter Catholic Church in McKeesport. They moved to Elyria in 1941.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Elyria; where she was the Leader of Girl Scout Troop # 10.
She was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Elyria; from the formation of that parish.
She was a 50 year member of the Catholic Daughters of America and served as Grand Regent of Court Elyria # 364 in 1941-1942.
She was a member of the Does of B.P.O.E. # 774 and the secretary of the Elks Ladies Bowling League.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in March of 1990.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. William D. (Mary Lou) Nielsen, of Pine Hurst, NC; Three grandsons, William, Jr., David and James; three great-granddaughters, Abigail, Andrea and Elizabeth; a great-grandson, William III; great-great-granddaughter, Kaylee.
Services and burial will be private.
