Mary Judith Croy's Obituary
Mary Judith Croy (nee Kleis), age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain.
She was born in East Cleveland, spent her childhood in Brooklyn, before moving to Fairview Park. She had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1973.
Mary worked as an analyst supervisor for Ohio Bell, also known as AT & T in Brecksville, retiring in 1991 after 31 years of service.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville.
She was an avid race car fan and owned a late model racing car along with her husband titled “Driving for Miss Daisy”. She also enjoyed bowling and hunting.
Survivors include her step-children, Rebecca Ann Croy of Middleburg Hts., John Allen Croy of Cleveland, Gene Croy Jr. of Elyria; grandson, Gene S. “Gregory” Croy III; brother, David Kleis; sister, Cheryl (Craig) Phillips of Parma; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; father, Walter Kleis; mother, Elizabeth Jane Dempsey (nee Kossuth); step-mother, Olga Kleis (nee Schieman); sister, Sandra Mae Kleis.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM at Faith Baptist Temple, 34361 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville. Pastor James Barta and Rev. Ray Carpenter will officiate.
Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
