Mary Acree's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Acree (nee McCarthy) 88, of Hillsboro, OR and formerly of North Ridgeville; died on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at her home in Hillsboro; following a short illness.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville from 1951 until she moved to Oregon in 1997.
Mrs. Acree was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville; where she had been an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary and the PTU.
Her hobbies included cooking, gardening and baking cookies.
She is survived by her son, Michael, of Portland, OR; granddaughter, Briana and three great-grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack (1982); son, John; who died while serving in the U.S. Army in 1973; parents, Daniel and Catherine (neeLoughney) McCarthy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 12:30 PM in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Rev. Father Stephen Kaminski, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
