Marvin C. Moore's Obituary
Marvin Charles Moore, age 86, of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 11, 1937 in Charleston, West Virginia and has been a resident of Ashland for the past 3 years, moving from North Ridgeville. Marvin worked at the Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1995 after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church and was a Free Mason.
In his free time, Marvin enjoyed hunting, loved red Ford trucks, restoring old tractors, woodworking, welding and was an avid golfer. The summer months would find Marvin tending to his vegetable garden. Above all, Marvin was a family man who cherished his entire family.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Jean (nee Landers) Moore; daughter Leslie Davina Sowl; son Marvin Dwayne (Laura) Moore; six grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother Arley F. Moore; many nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Edward Manuel and Orpha Ethel (nee Holstine) Moore; brothers Thomas, Owal, Oley Lee, Jack, Robert and Melvin Moore; sisters Doris Jean and Anna Mildred.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Danny Parsons will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
