Martin R. "Marty" Dougherty's Obituary
Martin R. “Marty” Dougherty, age 72, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at his home.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville.
Martin worked as a supervisor for Parker- Hannifin in Elyria for 36 years before retiring in 2005.
He enjoyed golfing and playing baseball on the Parker-Hannifin team.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Dolores Dougherty (nee Scotch); step-daughters, Venus (Gary) Paternite of Arlington, Texas, Cheryl (Jessie) Allen of Lorain, Patti (Kenneth) Brock of Grafton, Donna (Kevin) Engel of Las Vegas, Hope (Tony) Filiaggi of Elyria, Gina (Jeff) Saxton of Avon; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Donlyn) Wilfong of Wellington and Joe (Theresa) Lichniak of Sheffield Village.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Wilfong; mother, Sarah “Betty” Wilfong and sister, Eileen Nolf.
Friends may call Sunday from 5-7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 AM. Deacon Patrick Humphrey will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
