Martin Blaine's Obituary
Martin H. Blaine, 86, of Grafton died Thursday November 20, 2008 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Blaine had been a lifelong resident of Lorain County. He was employed as a sales manager with Harrison Ford in Wellington, retiring in 1984 following thirty years of service. He then continued to work there part time. He enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing.
Mr. Blaine was a Veteran of the US Navy, and was a member and past Commander of the Elyria VFW Post 1079, member of the American Legion Post 12, Elyria, member of the Loyal order of the Moose, Elyria and member of the North Eaton Christian Church Disciples.
Surviving is a son, Dick (Londa) Blaine of Grafton, daughter, Carol Busche (Doug) of Elyria, two grandchildren, Jennifer Hayward (Paul) and Doug Blaine (Kim); three great-grandchildren, Madeline and Josh Blaine and Grace Hayward, and two sisters, Geraldine Piscola (Tony) of Elyria and Doris Ankney (George) of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma in 1967; second wife, Natalie in 2007; parents, C.W and Rose Blaine; daughter, Christine in 1957 and brother, Donald Blaine in 1997.
Visitation Sunday from 3-6PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, and Monday from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM at North Eaton Christian Church Disciples, 35895 North Royalton Rd., Grafton, OH 44044. Rev. Dr. Paul Durbin, Pastor, will officiate. Burial to follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, North Eaton, where the Elyria VFW Post 1079 will conduct full military honors. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the church.
