Martha Elaine Nelson's Obituary
Martha Elaine Nelson (nee Prock) of North Ridgeville, died Friday June 19, 2020 at the age of 93. She went home to be with her beloved husband, Thomas who passed in 2016. She was given last rights, so the family is blessed to know she was welcomed by her Lord and Savior to her heavenly home. Born in Belle Valley, Ohio she had resided in North Ridgeville since 1957 after moving from Lakewood.
She was known for her fantastic cooking skills and loved hosting a family dinner every Sunday. Her heart and soul was given to her four sons, their families and her greatest love was having her grandchildren near her, all of whom lived with her or were cared for by her through their lives. Survivors include her four sons, Thomas K. Jr of Olmsted township, Daniel (Holly Dellman) of Elyria, Kenneth (Claudia) of North Ridgeville and Brian (Betty) Nelson of Elyria, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by father, Martin Prock, mother, Kathryn Z. Barlock, great-grandson, Hayden Keenan Nelson, three brothers, Raymond and Martin Prock, Marvin Barlock and her sister, Shirley Bourne.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, social distancing and face coverings will be required. Funeral Services will take place 11 AM Tuesday in the funeral home with Fr. Charles Diedrick, officiating. For those not able to attend, services will be live streamed on Bogner Family Funeral Home Facebook page. Private interment will take place later in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
