Mark Anthony Boggs' Obituary
Mark A. Boggs, age 42, of Elyria, passed away on November 23, 2016 at the University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on November 4, 1974 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident of Elyria. He worked as a machinist for Swagelok for the past 22 years and attended Christian Unity Church in Grafton.
Mark was a man who enjoyed the outdoors, and loved traveling, camping, boating and wildlife, especially bald eagles, which led to his assistance in fund raising for Back to the Wild Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Castalia. He was fond of older muscle cars, attending car shows, drag racing and car racing events. More recently, his longtime interest in BattleBots found him petitioning to build his own Bot and join the next series of taping of the show.
He is survived by his daughter Sarah Roig of Elyria; mother Eythel Boggs of Elyria; his girlfriend of 11 years, Sherri Bacak and her daughter Alicia Bacak, both of Port Clinton; aunts Evelyn Riffe of Mansfield, Naomi Ratcliff of KY and Lorraine McGlone of GA; several cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Ronald Boggs; grandparents Lawrence and Mae Boggs and Henry and Frances James.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Neal Brock will officiate. Interment will take place in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
