Mark T. Bakalar's Obituary
Mark T. Bakalar, age 71, of Elyria, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at his home.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Elyria since 2014. He previously lived in North Ridgeville and North Olmsted.
Mark worked as a supervisor in Labor Relations for Ford Motor Company. He retired in 2007 after 30 years of service.
He served in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and was Past Commander of the Black River Flotilla G-4 for 15 years.
Mark was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria and of the 32nd Degree Masonic Valley of Cleveland Lodge and #503 Stonington Blue Lodge in Amherst.
He enjoyed boating and golfing.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Linda, daughter, Catherine Marie (Les) Warner of Elyria and grandson, Brayden Thomas Warner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Bakalar and brother, Richard E. Bakalar.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 7PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 9685 E. River Rd., Elyria. Rev. Robert Weldon will officiate.
Private burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
