Mark Dennis Axford Sr.'s Obituary
Mark D. Axford Sr., age 63, of Elyria, passed away suddenly, Monday, August 23, 2021.
He was a lifelong resident of Grafton and Elyria.
Mark served on the Eaton Township Fire Department for several years as a firefighter. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. He spent this past weekend in Michigan attending NASCAR races. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandson, Matthew.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lisa Axford, cherished father of Mark Axford Jr. of Elyria, Jacob (Brandy) Axford of Elyria, Steve (Edith) Huffman of Olathe, Kansas beloved brother of Clyde Axford of Vermilion, Charles Axford Jr. of Grafton, Larry (Laura) Axford of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Gary (Ginny) Axford of Elyria, James Axford of Elyria, Russell (Erica) Axford of Spencer, Kathy (Jerry) Setliff of Prospect Hill, North Carolina, Lila (Michael) Gray of Greenwich, Helen (Robert) Thompson of Medina, Sally (David) Thacker of Elyria, Joyce (Bennie) Axford of Grafton, the apple of his eye, grandson, Matthew Axford and granddaughter Kylee Huffman several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Charles and Lila Axford, beloved brother, John Axford and beloved wife Lisa Axford.
