Marilyn J. Nielsen's Obituary
Marilyn Jane Nielsen (nee Gross) age 83 went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2023 at Haven of Rest in Williamston, Michigan.
She was born in Cleveland and was a resident of North Olmsted, Columbia Station and Grafton most of her adult life.
She enjoyed singing in her church choir, traveling, writing stories, and remembering loved ones with cards and gifts. In more recent years she enjoyed playing Scrabble, listening to her favorite music and working on word search puzzles. She especially loved and valued spending time with family and celebrating holidays. In 2013 she moved to Michigan where she spent the remainder of her years. Marilyn was very blessed to have the utmost loving care from the wonderful staff at Haven of Rest during her years there.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Kim) of Oceanside, California, daughter, Denise, (David) James of Webberville, Michigan, sons Jim (Theresa) of Columbia Station and Jeff of Cleveland, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, parents, Chester and Mary Gross, brother, Robert Gross and great-granddaughter Lillian Marilyn James.
Friends and family may call Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the service begins at 11am at Bogner Family Funeral Home at 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Rev. Kip Kratche will officiate, Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
