Marie Kostohryz's Obituary
Marie E. Kostohryz (nee Fox), age 83 of Avon, passed away Saturday, May 21st at the North Ridge Health Center following a short illness.
She was born in Columbia Station and had been a resident of Avon since 1956 moving from Berea. She had previously lived in Olmsted Falls for many years.
Mrs. Kostohryz was a member of the Lagrange Homemakers, Black River Trail Blazers, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Avon, Altar & Rosary Society and Mission Club #30 at St. Mary's.
She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and playing cards.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne of Wooster, Michael of Grafton and 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1976; son, Douglas in 1954; parents Bernard and Eva (nee Peachey) Fox; sister, Loretta Conrad-Rigda in 1977, brother Bernard Fox in 1986 and granddaughter, Maggie Kostohryz.
Friends may call Monday from 6-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where prayer services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30AM. .
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon. Rev. C. Thomas Cleaton, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Teresa's Cemetery, Sheffield.
