Marie J. Knappage's Obituary
Marie J. Knappage, age 84, of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, OH. She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 5 years, formerly of North Olmsted and Florida. She was a homemaker who loved to teach her family her Italian traditions. She always said (“munga duda”…Italian for eat)She loved to entertain. She dressed up for all the holidays. Harry and Marie would love to go the VFW and Eagles. They made a lot of dear friends there. She loved to play keno and slot machines. The most important thing to her was her family and friends.
She is survived by her Daughter Carolyn Zarate-Ramsey. Son in-law Robert E. Ramsey of Washington . Siblings brother Tom (Paula) Zajac of Calif. Sister Pat Zounek of Calif. 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Nieces Barbara Gallaty, Luann Elesky Hood, Erin Zajac, Kelly Zajac-Campau. Nephew Stan Elesky. Many more grand nieces and nephews.Step children Debbie Evilsizer, Eddie Knappage, Harry jr. Knappage. Sister in-laws Peggy Sustar, Penny Sigler, Patti(Richard) Sherba, Nancy Obus and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death her husband Harry in 2023; parents Charles A. Teresi father. Mother Mary Zajac . Daughter Michelle Teresi, sister Lucille Williams, Aunt Isabell LaScola. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A reception will follow until 5PM at The Bogner Life Celebration Center, 7295 Greenlawn Dr., North Ridgeville. Pastor Alan Jenkins will officiate. Private Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
