Marie L Griffith's Obituary
Marie L. Griffith (nee Rife), age 92, of Willard, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Stein Hospice Center in Sandusky.
She was born May 10, 1929, in Grundy, VA and was a resident of Willard for the past 14 years after moving from North Ridgeville where she was a resident for 25 years. She worked as a server for Red Lobster for many years. She was a member and dedicated volunteer of Willard Church of God. She also volunteered in a Nursing Home Ministry of West Bay Manor, AKA Harborside Nursing Home for 22 years. She enjoyed gardening, garage sales, volunteering, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons sergeant Gary (Patty) Griffith of Parma, Officer James (Denise) Griffith of Parma Heights, and Rev. Greg ( Rene) Griffith of Willard, daughter Shirley (Neftali) Pineda of Willard, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters Genevieve Blankenship of Cedar Bluff, VA, Coia Payne of Louisburg, NC and Lorraine Deel of Vansant, VA. She was preceded in death by her Husband James, son Eddie Griffith, Parents Fred and Watie Rife, brothers Ervin, Johney, Huffard, Leonard, and Fred Rife, sisters May Jackson and Fay Hess. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Willard Church of God 4551 Willard West Rd, Willard, OH 44890 from 9:30 am until the beginning of the service at 10:30am. Rev. Greg Griffith will officiate. Burial will be private.
