Marie A. Costin's Obituary
Marie A. Costin (nee Westby), age 99, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
She was born on September 17, 1926, in her family’s farmhouse in Renville, Minnesota to parents Martin and Augusta Westby. Growing up, Marie was surrounded with love from siblings Evelyn, Gilbert, Carl, Myrtle, Florence, Doris and Alyce. She married Daniel Costin in 1949 and moved to Ohio where they resided in Lorain, Avon Lake and North Ridgeville.
Marie’s family was her greatest gift. She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Marie is survived by her son, Martin Costin (Debbie), daughter, Catherine Benford (Douglas), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, siblings, daughter-in-law Sue Costin and granddaughter Allie Clifford.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. David Woolsey will officiate.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
