Marian C. Taylor's Obituary
Marian C. Taylor (nee Schneider), age 97, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon after a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 29, 1922 in North Ridgeville, where she had been a lifelong resident, and a 1940 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. She worked as the Treasurer for the St. Peter Federal Credit Union for over 25 years. Marian was a member of St. Peter Church, where she was involved with the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Merry Wives of 40 since 1945.
She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and playing cards. The warmer months would find her tending to her garden. She was also a fan of Cleveland Indians Baseball, but found her greatest joy in attending the sporting events of her grandchildren and spending time at family gatherings.
Marian is survived by her son Robert “Bob” (Ruth) Taylor of North Ridgeville; daughters Jeanette A. (Andrew) Wagner of Avon, Carolyn M. Horwedel of Ft. Myers, Fl, Jane (Robert) Beckham of Grafton and Mary Ann (Steven) Poff of North Ridgeville with whom she resided for the past 4 ½ years; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister Ursula Schilens of Westlake; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. “Bud”; parents Leo and Cecelia (nee Diederich) Schneider; brothers Sylvester, Elmer, Louis and Vincent Schneider; sister Viola Hart.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at 9:30 am for a prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church, N. Ridgeville. Rev. Andrew Hoover will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to the St. Peter Memorial Fund, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, 44039.
