Marian Hawke's Obituary
Marian T. Hawke (nee Gutschmidt), age 74, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at her home, following a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, she had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1946 moving from Olmsted Falls.
Marian was the owner and operator of North Ridgeville Beauty Salon for many years.
She was a member and past president of VFW Post 7035 Ladies Auxiliary in Avon.
She was the first female in 4H to show sheep at the Lorain County Fair.
Survivors include her husband, Ron, to whom she had been married 44 years as of July 31; sons, Thomas (Kathy) Padley of Brazil, Edward (Monica) Padley of Olmsted Twp., Kevin (Pam) Hawke of Valley City, Curtis (Cindy) Hawke of Grafton; daughters, Cindy (Bob) Schiavoni of Litchfield, Renee Hawke (David Glacken) of North Ridgeville; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard “Gus” Gutschmidt and Norman (Lenda) Cotterman all of Missoula, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Gutschmidt; mother, Helen Cotterman; step-father, Myron Cotterman; brother, George Gutschmidt and sister, Julianne Schuster.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 – 7 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 11 AM in the funeral home. Her son, Rev. Edward Padley will officiate.
Burial will be in Columbia Township Cemetery.
