Maria R.'s Obituary
Maria R. Ide (nee Hasner), age 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Avon, following a long illness.
She was born and raised in Mansdorf, Germany and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1985 moving from Cleveland.
Mrs. Ide worked as a seamstress for the Higbee's and Dillards department stores for 15 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and enjoyed traveling, hiking, walking and skiing.
Survivors include daughters, Sylvelin M. "Syl" Steffen of North Ridgeville, Eileen C. Carper of Taylorsville, Kentucky; sons, Raymond C. of North Ridgeville, Roy W. of Medina, 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Agatha Haas, Doris Dryer, Agnes Hasner Englisch all of Germany; and one brother, Florian Hasner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. in 1972; sister, Annemarie Metzler; and six brothers, Josef, Paul, Peter, Longinus "Gino", Robert and Wendelin Hasner.
The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Friday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville where prayer service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday followed by 11:00 AM Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Road, N. Ridgeville. Rev. Dr. Richard Gonser will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
