Margery Kearney's Obituary
Margery W. Kearney (nee Williams), age 85, of South Amherst, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 24, 2010 at her home, following a long illness.
She was born in Follansbee, West Virginia and had lived in South Amherst after moving from Elyria in 1968.
She graduated from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Registered Nursing in Wheeling, West Virginia. Margery worked as a registered nurse for University Hospital in Columbus and Elyria Memorial Hospital. She supported her husband's ministry as they pastored at Abundant Life Church from 1960 until 1989. She also served as the Northeastern Sectional Ladies President of Ohio District of the United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Megan (Rev. Jerry) Harper , Melissa Wasmundt all of South Amherst; sons, Michael (Mellanie) Kearney, Benjamin Kearney all of Elyria; grandchildren, Anne, Jared, Elizabeth, Paul, Caitlyn, Josh, Kara, Matthew; great-grandson, Xavier; brother, Denny (Florine) Williams of Wellsburg, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Kearney in May 2008; parents, Sidney and Virginia (nee Lally) Williams and brother, Sid Williams.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville and Friday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at Abundant Life Christian Center. Rev. Jerry Harper will officiate.
Burial will follow in Richmond Union Cemetery, Richmond, Ohio at 3:30 PM.
In her honor, memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Life Christian Center, 306 Morgan Ave., Elyria, OH 44035, for the installation of the new church steeple.
