Margaret Graves' Obituary
Margaret "Avonelle" Graves ( nee Tomer ), 74 of North Ridgeville, died suddenly Saturday, April 29, 2006 at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake.
She was born July 18, 1931 in New Kensington, PA. She had also lived in Fairview Park, East Cleveland, Toledo, and Brunswick where she and her family survived the Brunswick tornado of 1965 that destroyed their home on Palm Sunday.
Mrs. Graves attended Christ Chapel in North Ridgeville. She had been a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den mother in Brunswick. She enjoyed playing Bingo, collecting antiques, dining out with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, reading, going to the movies, and liked to look outside her window to watch the birds gather at the birdfeeders. .
She was the beloved wife of 54 years to James L. Graves I. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda S. Graves of Lakewood; and Patricia L. Male ( Daniel ) of Monroe, MI; two sons, James L. Graves II of North Ridgeville; and Jeffrey T. Graves ( Pam ) of Olmsted Township; five grandchildren, Nathaniel Male, Christopher Male, James William Graves, Zachary Graves, and Annie Therese Graves; and two brothers, Rev. Albert E. Tomer of Cincinatti, and Kenneth B. Tomer of NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert E. and Ruth Tomer ( nee Beamer ); and her sister Judy.
Friends will be received 5PM until time of service at 7PM Tuesday, May 2 at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Deena Williams of Christ Chapel, North Ridgeville will officiate.
Interment will take place at 2PM Wednesday at West Rushville Cemetery in Lancaster, OH.
